on failure
Failures are opportunities to trust that God is soveriegn and definitely in control despite the current situation. A trust that hopes and waits for the Father to rescue. Hope in itself is not simple - but a complex passion, and consists of the desire of some object, the expectation of obtaining it, together with that joy which arises from both these. Its basis may be said to desire, which may exist in different forms, according to the degree of probability of the attainment of its object. When there is little, if any probability, it constitues what is termed as a mere wish. When the probability is stronger, it connects itself with expectations and becomes hope. A probability that amounts to almost certainty, it settles into confidence. As such, it is a confidence that is based upon a solid foundation of the Word as a Child of God - prayerfully expecting Him to move in a powerful manner, whereby the failure is turned into an extremely powerful life message.
